ATLANTA, GA. – On Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers placed right-hander Julio Teheran on the 15-day disabled list due to a right hip impingement.
Teheran was released after allowing nine runs on 11 hits in five innings against his former team, the Atlanta Braves, on Saturday night.
Teheran has lost his last three decisions (2-5, 4.74 ERA in 11 games).
Right-hander Peter Strzelecki was recalled from Triple-A Nashville by the Brewers. Strzelecki went 3-5 with a 4.54 ERA in 36 games for Milwaukee before being optioned to Nashville on June 28. In seven games with Nashville, he had a 7.04 ERA.
