According to Pittsburgh police, a 17-year-old was slain in a stabbing early Thursday morning in Schenley Park.
Brandon Thomas, 17, of Pittsburgh, was identified as the victim by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
Zone 4 officers were dispatched to a location beneath Panther Hollow Bridge shortly before 12:30 a.m. for complaints of an aggravated assault.
Officers arrived on the scene and discovered Thomas with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead at 1:38 a.m.
There have been no arrests. The Pittsburgh Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit and Group Violence Intervention are looking into the incident.
