XRPL TipBot returns to Twitter after a brief hiatus; Forex Cadet explains how to give and receive XRP tips using the Xumm wallet.
Forex Cadet, the author of the XRPL TipBot xApp, joyfully announced the return of the XRP TipBot to the crypto world in a recent tweet. The TipBot, an XRP Ledger (XRPL) tipping service, had been temporarily blocked owing to Twitter’s policy changes affecting developer access to their API.
Forex Cadet expressed relief that the TipBot was now operational, albeit with a few snags.
The developer stated that Twitter’s changes forced specific changes to the TipBot, which unfortunately took longer than expected to completely integrate. As a result, users may notice a minor delay in recognising their tweets, but functionality is unaffected.
However, Forex Cadet urged customers to be patient, as unexpected glitches could yet develop. The crypto community is urged to remain patient as TipBot’s performance improves.
The tweet also mentioned the quick detection and resolution of the first problem. Apologies have been offered to users who may have encountered issues using the TipBot at a particular moment.
Previously, Forex Cadet alerted users of the temporary suspension, emphasising the impact of Twitter’s policy changes on the functionality of the XRPL TipBot. Tip registrations and transactions were not identified during the outage, making tipping impossible.
How Does XRPL TipBot’s Procedure Work
For those who are new with TipBot, Forex Cadet’s YouTube video titled “All About the New XRP Ledger TipBot” provides a complete guide. The video shows how to register with TipBot and send XRP tips to other Twitter users. The procedure is adding a tip message to any tweet while the user’s smartphone is pre-installed with the Xumm wallet, a non-custodial crypto wallet. To send and receive XRP tips, the Xumm wallet will be used.Users must sign in with a tweet and add a unique code and hashtag from the Xumm wallet in their tweet to register with TipBot. After the TipBot recognises the tweet, users can authorise their preferred address to receive tips.
Users can begin sending and receiving tips after registering by include a tip message, quantity, currency, and suitable TipBot hashtags in their tweets.
Perspectives on the InternetPermaBul, a well-known XRP advocate, demonstrated the tipping message on Twitter.
Particularly, if the recipient has a TipBot account, they will be notified and will be able to sign the tip. If the receiver has not yet registered, the tip will be queued until they do so within 24 hours.
