9:30 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in force for Walworth, Fond du Lac, Dodge, and Jefferson counties until midnight.
“A line of storms with damaging winds is expected to move into Dodge, Fond du Lac and Jefferson counties in the next 30 minutes.” Wind will be the most dangerous aspect of this. “We’ll have to wait and see how these storms react to more stable air closer to the lake,” says Chief Meteorologist Mark Baden.
This evening, severe thunderstorms are expected in southeast Wisconsin. The hours are 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
The entire area is at danger for severe weather, although strong storms are more likely closer to the Illinois border.
A lake breeze has also formed and travelled well inland. This should assist to lessen storms as they approach the metro region.
