In the last two days, as heavy rainfall lashed portions of north India, at least 41 persons were killed in landslides and other rain-related disasters. Himachal Pradesh remained the worst-affected state, with 18 people killed in flash floods and landslides in the last two days, while nine people died in Punjab and Haryana, seven in Rajasthan, and three in Uttar Pradesh in rain-related accidents.

The water level of the Yamuna River, which is still in flood in Delhi, was measured at 207.55 metres, the highest ever.

The Kullu-Manali route has been partially restored, and at least 2,335 tourist vehicles have been released.
